This year promised to be even bigger and better with the event selling out with over 150 businesses registered to attend.
The Hertfordshire Growth Hub’s annual flagship event, ‘All The Help You Can Get’ Business Support Show was held on Friday, 6th December 2024 at Knebworth Barns. Embracing a festive theme, the event highlighted the robust business support network within the county. Designed for those aiming to start, grow, or scale their businesses in Hertfordshire, the show provided attendees with advice and opportunities to stay updated on the latest trends and innovations and connect to a wide range of local and national support resources.
Before the opening address, businesses had the opportunity to explore our exhibition zone. Over 15 local and national organisations joined us on the day to exhibit, providing opportunities for networking with business owners including the University of Hertfordshire, Visit Herts, Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Stanta, Hertfordshire County Council’s Herts Healthy Workplace, Innovate UK Business Growth, Better Business for All (BBfA), Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP), Estu Global, Ideas Fest, Hertfordshire Film Office, Step2Skills, Hertfordshire’s Economic Development Officers, The Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre and UK Export Finance.
This year's show theme was ‘Celebrate the Past, Embrace the Future’, a fitting theme as the Growth Hub moves into a milestone year in 2025 of its 10th Anniversary.
Delegates were welcomed by Exemplas Ltd CEO, David Moule who opened the show by reflecting on the Growth Hub’s achievements over the past decade. David then introduced Adrian Hawkins OBE, Chair of Hertfordshire Futures and, Chair of Hertfordshire Futures' Skills & Employment Panel to discuss their work to develop a new Economic Strategy for the county for the next 10 years and beyond.
Attendees were then treated to a talk from Martha Lytton Cobbold, Managing Director of Knebworth Estates and Lytton Enterprises Ltd who uncovered some of the historic past of the Knebworth Estate as well as details of its use as a shooting location for many films and TV shows. Visit Herts and Hertfordshire Film Office also presented on the theme of Hertfordshire’s booming film and TV Industry and the opportunities this presents for businesses wishing to be part of the supply chain.
